At Spectrum Elementary, being an All-Star extends well beyond academic achievement. It is about the character our students carry with them into the hallways, onto the playground, and out into the Gilbert community. This month, we are incredibly proud to celebrate Ellie, known to many as "Tootsie", for being honored with the Gilbert Town Citizenship Award.

Ellie was chosen for this award because she consistently models the core values we strive to instill in every student: kindness, respect, and responsibility. Within her classroom, she is known as a student who goes out of her way to include others, ensuring that every peer feels seen and valued. Whether she is assisting a classmate with a project or offering a word of encouragement in the cafeteria, Ellie’s presence makes our campus a warmer, more welcoming place.

Ellie was also nominated for her strong sense of personal responsibility. She approaches her schoolwork and her interactions with maturity and a community-first mindset. By making thoughtful choices and acting as a positive role model, she demonstrates that leadership isn't always about being the loudest voice - it is about the consistent, small actions that help a community thrive.

Ellie’s story is just one example of the supportive environment and leadership opportunities available to students at Spectrum Elementary. We are currently welcoming new families for the upcoming school year and would love to show you what makes our campus an A+ School of Excellence.
